bisexual is more a genX thing, it's a term from before gender fluidity being popularized so it's dated now. we didn't have words for polyamory in the 80s, but there were triads, quads, etc.. Language evolves, but sometimes people don't

Just to clear things up, bisexual= an umbrella term for attraction to multiple genders. That can be two, three, all, etc. Pansexual is under the bi umbrella, but it means attractions regardless of gender. Another misconception is that pan people don’t have a type, which is wrong, and they can even have a preference for gender presentation (dating more women bc of attraction to feminine aligned people) but as long as they would not care about the gender of their partner, they are pan.

I say I’m bi but I used it as more the umbrella term of “sexually attracted to multiple genders but the gender does play a role in my attraction to them” like I would date non binary, but to me them BEING non binary DOES play a role in my attraction to them.

I wish people would actually read the printed and posted "bisexual agenda" it's from the early 90's and clearly states that by being bi does not confine to the gender spectrum norms and that is about acceptance in the our community as the gay community seems to still find ways to shun us because we aren't "gay" enough

Do we really not know the difference between bi and pan? a bisexual person is someone who is attracted to two or more genders. A pansexual person is someone who is attracted to people REGARDLESS of gender. It's the difference between liking "manly muscles" and also "feminine curves" / liking short hair on men, women, and anyone else. Does that make sense? I think that made sense.
