The show is about a fictional family named the Reagan’s, who are an Irish Catholic family from New York City, who has a history of work in law enforcement like Frank, who is the New York Police Department Police Commissioner (a post he held). Frank’s older son, Danny is an NYPD detective and his younger son, Jamie is a NYPD sergeant who graduated from Harvard University. Frank’s daughter Erin is a assistant district attorney. They do have an older brother but he passed away in the line of duty by a corrupt cop (in the show’s predate.) Frank’s father, Henry is a former NYPD beat cop who rose through the ranks to become police commissioner. The show ended after 14 seasons in 2024.
