@painacademy: Do you notice that one shoulder is lower than the other? It might not be a shoulder problem—it could be a hip imbalance. That sounds ridiculous, but try this exercise and you’ll feel how your hips and shoulders are connected. While seated, place a block or pillow between your knees and hold it with about 20% effort. Sit tall through your pelvis. Curl your fingertips, keep your palms open, and relax your arms by your sides. Pull both shoulders back, slowly squeeze your arms out wide until your hands are at shoulder height (or as far as is comfortable). Then, begin slow, forward arm circles. Holding the block keeps your hips active, forcing them to stabilize as your shoulders move. This connects your upper and lower body in one simple motion. Now flip your palms up, point your thumbs back, and reverse the circles. Keep your stomach and face relaxed. It’s subtle—but powerful. Small, integrated movements like this are what retrain the nervous system to restore balance and reduce compensation. If this made a difference for you, imagine what a full nervous system program can do. Try The Movement Program free for 7 days.
