The fact abaddon found him dead he was the only other thing in that house that could touch stuff so being a demon who knows nothing about phones he probably had to learn to use it to call Kathrine or for help maybe that’s why he didn’t want to learn to use the computer or when Nathan yelled at him a little for not being able to he thought Nathan was mad at him for not being able to call for help faster when he died

First off Ben hearing what killed his uncle is so sad. Secondly he realising what killed might have brought back memories of his depression. Maybe that’s why he got his sad thoughts back in season 2.

light spoilers; Ok so, not to make things even worse, as a person who almost lost someone to suicide, season 2 Episode 8, the way he was asking Kathy to stay was a silent beg for help, he knew he was going to give in and he needed someone to stay and help him, but saying it out loud is not an easy thing. I know because my cousin did the same thing before they tried to overdose, thankfully the ambulance arrived in time. but it made me cry to see him try to ask Kathy to stay.
