One time I worked for a private adult foster home and we had what we thought were fruit/drain flies. Turns out they were coffin flies because there was a decaying mouse in a bag of bird seed we had in a closet. 🫠

We ended up putting a bug zapper on top of the fridge and it’s helped a lot. Cover the drains at night after you do the boiling water. It traps them in there so they can’t escape and reproduce.
