Don’t you wish I ready would just make it more simple for the kids to see how many lessons they passed in the week instead of having to pay attention to the date. Instead of tracking how many lessons they pass in a row it would be nice if it was just lesson lessons past that week.

Love your idea and need to try this. now to buy the magnets. My 5th grade partner and I require 3 passed lessons for students who are Mid to Late 5th and 6 lessons for everyone else who are below grade level. we've found this method works fir getting kids caught up to grade level or only 1 year below depending on where they started.

I do something similar, but the kids move their own magnet. The goal is that by the end of the week they have 3 math and 3 reading lessons done. As a result, most will meet the minimum required time. They also feel proud each time they finish a lesson and get to move their magnet up. I like your idea of getting to play games after they finish all the lessons!

I use paper logs for the kids to fill out. Kids don’t seem to give a care about filling them out. I like this!!! Thank you
