@peachyymaddi: Veteran’s Day. Where to begin.. the last couple of years I’ve ignored this day. Because I’ve lost too much, and it sears my heart in a way that silences me. But I’d like to tell some of my story because I am a Veteran as well as my late husband. I wanted to join the Air Force before I ever met Tyler, and once we got married, we moved to our first duty station serving together. I told my mother that I wanted to be a part of something that truly mattered, and to me that was military service. I deployed overseas, went on temporary duty to various states, and was coined by Nancy Pelosi. Tyler excelled too- winning awards, and becoming a Staff Sergeant. I earned 75% of my Bachelor’s on active duty, and finished once I completed my enlistment. Being married military member to military member was not easy, and we faced many obstacles. But serving alongside my husband was an honor, and I cherish the memories we have. 🇺🇸 #veteransday
