I think you did an amazing job and please dont feel disappointed that you were not able to get everything done, because in your daughters eyes she would have been so excited and happy with what you did she would have had the best time ever.you staying awake all night to do that for your daughter in the first place is truly wonderful she is one very lucky girl to have parents that go above and beyond for their children not many would.

We used to stay up the night before decorating but as my kid got bigger we started decorating the house 2-3 days before. It helps so much since i diy alot of usually, plus its so cute to watch her get excited as they slowly go up😬

Make your cake as soon as possible, freeze it I know I said freeze it. Once it’s been frozen for about an hour take it out and do what’s called a dirty coat of icing put it back in the freezer and then take it out when you’re ready to decorate typically about an hour is what it needs to set up. This is called a dirty coat. It will prevent your cake from having all kinds of crumbs in it and it’ll look more professional, and easier to decorate.
