Guys it’s because we had every wall plastered apart from this wall because the boiler is on it. So it’ll never be smooth. But I’m putting a sliding door to block it off. Just wanna make it look semi OK

Why dont you just get some nice metal filling knives and drop the butter knife?😭. Harris filling knives are £3 on amazon. I know you said you dont want new tools but £3 is nothing and you can use it elsewhere.
