@vox.artis: Today (November 11th), we Poles celebrate our National Independence Day. For this occasion, I’ve decided to draw a handgun used by the first Marshal of Poland, Józef Piłsudski - a Browning M1900. The FN Browning M1900 (officially designated as the Modèle 1900 Pistolet Automatique Browning) is a single-action semi-automatic pistol designed in 1898 by John Browning for Fabrique Nationale de Herstal (FN) and produced in Belgium at the turn of the 20th century. It was the first production handgun to use a slide. Serial production of the Browning Pistol began in 1900. It was chambered in .32 ACP (7,65 × 17 mm SR Browning) ammunition, which was fed by a 7-round box magazine. Production ceased only 11 years later, with a total of approximately 725,000 units produced by FN only. One of the notable owners of the M1900 pistol was the first Marshal of Poland, Józef Piłsudski. It was a souvenir from the time of his activity in the PPS Combat Organization (Organizacja Bojowa Polskiej Partii Socjalistycznej).
