It’s because they just reheat the old stuff so they don’t have to make it fresh again.

Let me get this straight.. you're implying that the coffee you once loved has decreased in quality due to.. cultural differences? Rather than the obvious, change in coffee beans? This is such a wild take..

It’s called quality control. We used to practice it in this country.

i find that the Tims that are staffed with Filipinos are excellent. i really feel that they care more and are naturally cheerful. Maybe that's just me?

Tim Hortons lost their contract with the roaster they uses for decades cause the Brazilian capital investment group that bought them wanted more profit for the share holders (thus cutting costs everywhere). McDonald's then swooped in and signed up with the coffee roaster, by the time Tummies realized what was happening they couldn't go back. This happened a decade ago

It’s all the same coffee everywhere. No conspiracy here. As a former franchise owner. If you want great coffee - try the smaller independent coffee shops.

Not just you. I’m Latina. If I see durka durks at the local tims, I leave. I’ll drive 30 minutes extra to a nice white neighborhood and buy from a wite folk tims. Why? Everything tastes better and they never get the order wrong

It's just you. Tim's was never very good, it's always just been coffee. Their marketing makes you think it was a Canadian staple.

The coffee comes preportioned. They all use the same standardized equipment. It’s the same at EVERY tims. Just the entitled attitude of the customers changes

They always try and serve me expired coffee daily with the red light flashing that means old coffee and needs to be changed. I have to say it every time to make a fresh pot since it's became all brown people

It’s just you. Because I’ve never seen a ‘white part’ of town in Toronto. Are we making TH racist? Tim Hortons coffee of our younger days is actually McDonalds coffee. What it is now-is bad overall.

That’s so true cause I’m brown and at the local Tim Hortons the only person who gets the order right is the one white person who works there

I got Filipinos working at my local Tim’s and the service is immaculate, coffee is the best I ever had and the vibe at the window is so nice

I’m wondering your theory on this though. Like you think they’re selling different coffee depending on the demographic? Bc I think it depends on the staff and their ability to follow freshness instructions.

Quality standards are different from store to store. It’s not the beans like people say, it’s improper training and a lack of understanding with the staff. Languages barriers don’t help unfortunately, but that’s inevitable. I’ve been to Indian owned Tim’s, Asian owned Tim’s and white owned Tim’s and they have all been great. It just boils down to staff, owners, and training.

While I’m sure cultural differences may have some impact on the products being made, the big reason for Tim Hortons decline is because Restaurant Brands International(the parent company of Tim Hortons since 2014) has focused on profit over quality. Supply chains were altered and the company utilized the Temporary foreign worker program to keep costs at a minimum. As a result, you get what you pay for.

Tim’s is no longer an iconic symbol of Canada. It’s been going downhill for years. The coffee is inconsistent, awful, made wrong. The wait times are absolutely brutal. The price of food is outrageous for what you get. McDonald’s has the coffee now we all used to love at Tim’s. I do not even bother going to Tim’s anymore.
