1.) It was Nico’s idea to trade Luka. He pitched it to the owner and repeatedly said it was his decision. 2.) Fans have strongly voiced their displeasure with the owners, but understand the owners aren’t firing themselves. Cuban has also received a ton of blame. 3.) nobody is upset at the players, but the games are about the only way fans can protest/voice displeasure. 4.) The Mavs aren’t moving to Vegas and the rumors are weird. Dallas is a top 3-5 market in the US, no league is taking a team from the city.

It has Adam Silver 100% totally written all over this trade because the lakers are box office attraction. If the league still wants to promote the lakers with all of the big TV contracts that they have gotten and eventually after LeBron retire, they have to have a superstar player that'll bring in viewership to not only the team post Lebron era, but also the league as well. As a wink-wink under the table deal, Adam Silver promised the mavs the number 1 pick in exchange for a Luka doncic trade to the lakers. Everybody in their right mind could see through the veil of Adam Silver. And the kicker, the owner Miriam Adelson has no intent to keep the Mavs in Dallas because she wants to build an empire around her casino background. To tie in what I have said earlier about Adam Silver, this trade was a big f u to the city of Dallas in wanting to devalue the team if she doesn't get what she wants and she's gonna move the team to Las Vegas. Hence why she ok the deal to trade the star attraction in Luka to the lakers

It’s not a grand conspiracy, it’s actually really simple. Nico hated Luka and it was not a secret here in Dallas . He fired everyone around Luka for the last several years. Even Dirk distanced himself from the Mavs before the trade because of Nico. Vegas rumors are BS. Dumont just doesn’t know basketball and relied on his GM to make basketball decisions .

There is 100% stuff going on behind scenes. People don’t recognize it’s a business and all about the money. This deal was done to have a superstar in LA (since LeBron is out the door) because ratings been down. There’s a reason mavs got #1 pick. Nico was just the escape goat. There’s a reason this trade didn’t make sense because you would obviously shop him around and 100% would of got more out of the deal but again it’s a business and shady stuff goes down all the time behind the scenes
