I believe Narcissistic abuse causes a Stockholm syndrome-esk trauma bond resulting in many victims experiencing BPD symptoms… I think it’s unfortunately harshly misunderstood from those on the outside. I thought I had BPD too, but I was just deep in the throws of CPTSD and the trauma of being in relationships to Narcissists.

When I imagine leaving for good I feel empty like I can’t even imagine a life in my head without them I imagine blank empty emptyness and I feel scared and I want to be with them because I love them so deeply When I stay I hope for change because of the push pulll but I’m always exhausted and on edge and always wondering when the next fight that the narcissist comes up with and the pulling away of punishment or to use me but I get lovebombed for a tiny bit which makes the feelings of love so Intense that I’m th happiest but the love bombing is close to the bare minimum of a relationship just a 30 min to 2 hr lovey dovey but it isn’t the same lovey dovey as the beginning when I fell in love it’s less. how do I deal with this like I feel like all this is in my head but I know for a fact my partner is hurting me but I can’t leave I feel like I’m waiting for the one I fell in love with I don’t know how to handle this in my head because it’s normal to me but I love him too much but he is not a good person

This describes my ex and I exactly, he has since been diagnosed with NPD and I strongly believe I have BPD and am working on confirming with drs. It has been almost two years since we’ve been together, we broke up right after our daughter was born, and I have had such a hard time still with it because of reflection on the situation, realizing how bad things actually was (dv, cheating, his drug uses etc) yet I still miss him sometimes and wish things were different and I hate it because it never will be

I'm bpd and I either cry stay please stay or fight like hell and get violent or say horribly mean things. I get angry and hurt my partner out of fear of being hurt first... is that bpd or narc?
