This is true. i wasted 20 years of my life training and fighting in the UFC to become a champion. Nothing happened after i got the belt. Largely imaginary title. Champion of what? I earned nothing. Couldn't even wear the belt practically. It's too big.

I’ll preface this with the fact that if there are multiple attackers you’ll be better off running away or using a weapon, but bjj genuinely works in 1v1 fights. A 145 lb female bjj athlete with a purple belt would likely beat you in a 1v1 fight if you don’t have training.
