The first one is great for dementia patients and for people who have other physical disabilities.

Bought a quip. Got home and thought I was doing it wrong because it felt like a manual toothbrush where only the handle vibrated. I used it twice then threw it away.

this was surprisingly judgemental for a dentist regarding the first one. dental hygiene is one of the first things to go for people with mental or physical illness

I would argue that AA battery toothbrushes are better than rechargeable toothbrushes. When the AA battery dies, you replace the battery. But when the rechargeable battery dies, you will have to replace the whole toothbrush. A rechargeable toothbrush will last about 2 years. An AA battery toothbrush will last much more than that.

But the IO one I heard so many people say it gets moldy and ugly even if it was taken care of

What is this dude even talking about with the first one? Just because somethings new doesn’t mean it doesn’t work.

I have been getting so many ads for the first one and it is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen, and they expect people to put it in their mouths

Quip isn't an electric toothbrush, it's a manual toothbrush with vibration that acts as a timer.

I'm millennial, never had a cavity or issue. Just brush my teeth twice a day with a manual brush.

Here's the thing - auto toothbrushes aren't good. BUT if it's between not doing it at all vs doing something, it's great. People with MDD, ADHD, etc really struggle to do it daily.
