Listen, I have loved art my whole life. Painting is a skill that needs practice and consistency. It's very, very rare to be able to just do it with any degree of proficiency. So, the likelihood is that she does have a certain amount of talent. But, she wouldn't be fantastic because she didn't do it as a child when they had money. And when she was a teen doing it she had not much to work with. Realistically, she probably isn't the best and that makes the cabin painting hilarious. I would say this about any male character too.

there's no way she's a bad painter if the entirety of the first book she describes the colors of everything vividly with such admiration, always ready to paint and push her limits w it. it literally broke my heart that after under the mountain she never described anything like that again💔

I think she’s more of an impressionist like Monet. Looks like crap up close and better from far away. Nesta calls them stupid and when Feyre doodles all over the family cabin, neither Mor or Rhys seemed impressed or say words indicating her work is great.

Find it hard to believe she is a good painter cause her family was poor and she didn’t have access to good brushes, paints, art of other artists or the down time to be painting a lot. 🤷♀️
