When you have a cash out option for a parlay, reframe it as “would you bet the total cash out amount on that last leg as a standalone bet to get that remaining amount?” Here, he doesn’t say the amount wagered, but let’s say it was $1,000. Would you bet the $950 to win $50 more on that last leg to hold up (i.e., the Knicks to hold the 20 pt lead)? If you wouldn’t make that standalone bet, the answer is cash out.
