If you barely mist your hair with water it helps slightly open your hair shaft. This helps to make your hair pattern more malleable. Then as it dries it dries in the new curl pattern! It’s the only way I’ve been able to make my curls last more than a few hours. Lol.

I do something similar, but I zigzag the back part so that it doesn’t separate at the crown of the head. I also put one more loose scrunchie around both of them to hold them together and stay on top. Thanks for sharing

Do a zigzag part!! That way it looks cohesive in the back and not like it's split down the middle. doesn't mater if it's messy! it changes a lot and it literally takes 2 seconds
