@crisis_is.a_cryptid: Is this another hypermobility thing? It feels like it’s probably a hypermobility thing. It does this mostly on this right side, which is where I mostly have my other hypermobility issues. Sometimes this hip feels like it’s like, halfway out of the socket and just GRINDING against the bone while I walk. #hypermobility #hypermobile #health #joints #jointhealth
I’m so mad (not in the actual way) I used to do this and I’ve forgotten how

I have this but it pops every time I walk, which if I walk for too long it’s insanely painful. I have constant pain there but it isn’t enough to bother me but when it flares up it’s so painful I can barely walk 💔

heyo i have this and the doctor told me that my ligament(?) right there is just hypermobile. only things you can do for it is take pain meds if it hurts and build the muscles around it so the ligament has more support. hope this helps! really interesting to see someone else with the same issue

I discovered it a few years back before I realised it was hypermobility... Then the other things came in - elbows at a 20° angle, fingers bending too far, popping out my shoulder, ect... Then I got diagnosed and realised my whole family had it and its a genetic thing!

It’s called external snapping hip syndrome. It’s when the muscle rolls it’s very very common and athletes.

this is definitely subluxations especially given the half out grinding feeling you described. you’re basically just soft dislocating your hip and is definitely related to being hyper mobile

Yeahhh I can move my shoulders out of socket too, I have POTS so idk if that has anything to do with it but it’s pretty cool. My hip hurts bad as hell when it does that tho 😭

I do this as well, and apparently I have EDS (Elhors Danlos Syndrome) I think it’s like- sub-dislocating your hip out of its socket but not all the way

You can hear it click across the room when I do this btw! I’m currently wearing fleece lined sweat pants that are acting as a silencer to the deafening pop of my whole entire hip
