It makes sense she didn’t make the same as Chad. I swear he was in everything around that time.

There’s no way an apartment in Wilmington NC costs 3 grand a month in 2003.

I don’t want to belittle her point but if she was taking home 3k an episode after she’s paid for everything that’s basically 3k a week that wld equal out to almost 100,000 in her bank account a yr that’s not bad for an actor w/ no experience fresh out of college. And by the end she was making more just like a normal actor that’s how the industry works 🤷♀️🤷♀️

Her being a woman had nothing to do with her pay. She didn’t know the business and mismanaged her money

First of all you got paid more each season, and after season 6 we know they all got massive raises. I’ll buy the argument for seasons 1-3 but after that it doesn’t pass the smell test

Kelsey Wagner :
Obviously she should have been paid more but you cant subtract the cost of housing out of your net income.

Okay I see where she’s coming from about the male costars but arguably, someone like Chad Micheal Murray was in a LOT of things during that time period so it makes sense for him to make a decent amount more than her at the time lol

That had to be only for the first season.. like she has to renegotiate as the show went on.

Why on earth did she need a 3k apartment in Wilmington in 2003. I went to UNCW in 2018-2020 and was paying $800-$1,000 for a 1 bedroom apartment.

3k a month for an appt in Wilmington (I lived there during this time) is bananas. That’s like minimum 3 bedroom maybe a house.

After all that taken out having 3k per episode back when shows had 20 episodes a season isn’t bad for someone starting out right out of college, especially if that’s after rent was paid

Pal oof :
it bothers me that she acts like something bad was done to her bc she didn’t make as much as others but A) she was not a lead for a long time so it makes sense she made more later and b) she had no acting credits prior to the show and that’s a huge part of what determines your past as a young actor.

S1…sure. but after that she and her character CARRIED that show.

I lived in Raleigh during/post college and there’s absolutely no way she was paying 3K for a 2 bedroom in Willmington in 04. Was it like a beachfront house? Because even the luxury bulding in Raleigh in the mid 10’s were still under 2K for a 2 bedroom.

So 9k an episode ?
