i think it’s fine for them to do tricks as long as they’re considerate. but it’s so annoying when they do huge spins that take up space or backwards skate right next to you throwing you off. or that girl who did a huge spin with her blade out when there were kids around 🫠

It’s not just that it’s dangerous, it’s that people are going to have fun and ice skaters go to make everyone else look worse in comparison so they ice skaters feel better about themselves, like yes skating and doing tricks is fun, but people want to injoy life and not feel like they aren’t good enough at something.
