no hate just an idea I also dont know your horse at all but did she act up at all with no bit? if she didn't she could prefer no bit or she could have a cut in her mouth that causes the bit to rub it and it bothers her maybe. again no hate just something that popped in my head.

Maybe your rope halter need some adjusting, seems a little too big and it makes the wrong pressures points. You can also find some other types of rope that are less thin, it will be more comfortable for her 😊 (please feel free to correct my English, Im not a native speaker obviously)
