Fun facts: Her father in law hated her (bc of the whole eloping thing), and is one of the reasons why some of her work wasnt published in her name. After her husband died she had to rely on allowances from her father in law, which he withheld from her until she agreed to never publish using the Shelley name for as long as he lived. The Last Man is published as "The Author of Frankenstein", because of that. It wasnt until the death of Percy Shelley's oldest child from his first marriage, which made Mary's son the heir to the Shelley estate, that she had a more stable livelyhood
