No I dated them because I loved them and we got along and understood one another and just because we don’t work as a couple doesn’t mean I can’t still have a friend. It doesn’t work for everyone but I wish it was more normalized

I had a fling with someone at work and it ended after I left that job. She started to discarded so I made it official after a week of being ghosted and in limbo. She asked if we could still be friends but I told her it wasn’t fair for me to stick around after she downgraded me. I don’t want to see her move on quickly and give other people the love she once gave me. It was difficult to do but I told her this is a permanent separation and after this phone call we would no longer speak. It was very difficult to do but 3 weeks in I feel like I made the right decision. I still think about her a lot but I know I can’t go back there. It not just emotionally draining but I feel like I have lost my mojo without her. Bit things will get better every day. Stay strong people!

So, me and my ex broke up two weeks ago, I met her on monday to pick all my stuff up. She said it was fine being friends or fwb, just that she need space so we dont snap so often anymore even tho I see she is online and when we snap there is just normal face pic. But I asked her if its okay for her to call her and talk to her and asking how she is doing she said it was fine. Then I asked her if she would be ok if I could see her privatley to go on small dates to build up our relationship again very slowly cause she said she loves me but doesnt have feelings. So she it was fine to go on a few small dates to start over, just that right now I need to give her space

@sale: i guess we’re in no contact for one month now, she keeps me in her closest friends, she posts things about missing me and nostalgic stuff, she likes my tiktok reposts. 10 days ago I texted her (whatsapp) if she wanted to try again, and she hasn’t answered yet, but still she didn’t block me. after my text she immediately posted random stuff on close friends (there’s about 8 people in her close including me) and liked some of my reposts. She still likes my reposts (they’re not about stuff together or nostalgic, many of them are about stuff that she is not interested of). Is this a sign? please help me

Real friends can go without talking to each other for months and resume like it was nothing. My romance came to an end because of a move. Not really much blame to go around. So occasional contact doesn't really bug me. It would big me if one of us were wronged by the other. And we're just kinda far. It's at the point where I don't really need to talk. Every now and then is nice but it doesn't need to be a habit.
