next time, go through an appliance store. not Lowes or home depot. people always have issues with delivery and appliances being damaged.

We tried ordering cabinets from Lowe’s… it was a nightmare! Thank god we didn’t rip out our old cabinets! We only go to Home Depot now- yep we drive an extra 30 miles!

@Chris:Lowe's sent one man to deliver my new fridge to a brand new home with the kitchen on the second floor. all I heard was 'oh no" before the crash and boom and thud when he dropped it down the entire flight of stairs through the closet in the foyer. the front corner of the house had to be rebuilt due to severe damage to the framing of the home. you're not alone in your refrigerator agony! Oh that same water issue ruined 2 stories of new hardwood floors a month later.

Former appliance store owner here. There’s a couple things wrong here. The first fridge from the looks of it had been sold previously, and re-packaged, incorrectly. That is on Lowe’s. Second, you never lay a fridge down. You tip it back hook the wheels onto the edge of the tailgate stand up and slide it in. To remove it from the truck, you slide it all the way out with back edge still hooked on the tailgate and you tip it down until the bottom edge meets the handcart then you just pull away from the tailgate. If you do lay it down, you must wait at least 24 hours before you plug it in. But you should never lay it down. Third, it’s not a Lowe’s problem. It’s a manufactures problem because every brand new refrigerator out there right now is absolute garbage, ESPECIALLY HISENSE! I I can’t remember exactly but I believe highsenses made by GE and they’re just a trash Chinese made GE basically. And you didn’t say what was wrong with the other refrigerator but you would’ve been better off fixing the old one. refrigerators now are made the last five years maximum. If you got past five years with it, you fix them because they are a good fridge. Most don’t make it five years, 20% are trash in the first yr.

lowes used to have in house delivery guys and we'd unpack the appliances before loading them and just put a protective moving blanket over them

a single person and a dolly can load any fridge into a truck bed. Just have to be in the truck bed to pull up dolly or push from bottom and let dolly ride up tailgate. do it all the time

I had some major issues when buying a fridge through Lowe's. The delivery people are an outside company. They dinged up the new fridge and damaged my wooden stairs bringing it in. The local store would not even return calls or get back to me after I'm person visits😡 I made a post on Lowe's X account and someone from corporate reached out, within days all was fixed. You shouldn't have to go all the way to the top, but it got my problems resolved!

I totally feel ya, early this year i ordered a $5000 shed from Lowes, (they will build it and my house), I needed it asap, Lowes rep knew this, he states a rep will call me to schedule for delivery. I have to sign their contract. I call them 2 days later as i still have no date, they state someone will call me soon. Finally 2 days later a rep calls and schedules the delivery. 5 weeks out 😳. I’m panicking and start looking at other companies, i need this for chickens that are growing fast. I call the schedule rep every other day to see if theirs a cancellation. Takes about a week but i finally find a coop for the chickens, they can deliver 3 days later. So i pay for that, get it delivered, all set to go right? All i need to do now is cancel the Lowes shed…i call, theres still 3 weeks till they will bring the material and build their shed at my house. So i call Lowes, theres a 20% cancellation fee, if the order goes past their i think 3 day period after ordering. Like WTF, its not even built yet, plus it took them how long to call me to even set up the appt, if i’d know their delivery was to be over 5 weeks out i never would have ordered!!! I lost just a bit under $1000 😳 and for what? Nothing, even as the scheduler said they hadn’t even started my order for the Shed. $1000 they made off this disabled vet. Oh and they take 20% “cancellations fee” from everything, even the few added items we wanted, like them painting the shed. I really dislike Lowes, it is the only option where i live for delivery.

Same thing happened to us with our oven. Third time they delivered a non-damaged oven. Same delivery guy from XPO delivery people each time. We argued in the street when he made me go to the truck to see if it was acceptable 🤣
