Fun tip, name your router the name of some old model from an obscure manufacturer, but make sure the SSID is identical to that old one's default. Then, watch them struggle trying to exploit your 2026 router while thinking it's 2005 eWaste and question their existence 😂

WPA2/3 doesn’t encrypt all your internet traffic, it only encrypts the wireless signal between your device and your router so nearby people can’t sniff it. I realize you may be dumbing it down or simplifying but it’s misleading.

As someone who was the "fix it guy" in my family, and has never had an official cyber security job, I do those things when I first get a new router. Not always the firmware thing but my current one has an app for that now and I can check updates.

I'm not trying to nug you, but I would highly recommend looking up some knife skill courses specifically you should try the grip where you pinch the part of the metal where it meets the handle and cut with a sort of rocking motion.

What? People don't set their wifi name and password to something cool or funny? 😭 And you allow access to your router with username and password???? Why would you do that? I only alow access from a specified device via a certificate and also need my hardware key.
