Trump isn’t messing around. My mom is Ghanaian and one of her friends self-deported. She couldn’t afford rents after roommate left. She has been here 20 years, but no paper coming. She left last month.

My dear, I am so sorry. We can only imagine the pain and fear she’s going through. We feel it with you, and it’s a heavy moment for all of us living abroad. She does not deserve any of this. Right now she needs safety, comfort, and support. The government should help get her out of Ghana. Until then, her children and husband should arrange a safe apartment, pack her belongings into a container, and ensure she receives emotional support and counselling while they continue working on her immigration papers. In the U.S., since the children have their status, they can apply for her. Or her husband can marry her legally in Sierra Leone and apply for her return. These options are real, there is hope. Stay strong, my dear. You are not alone. We are with you in prayer and spirit.🙏
