This type of knafeh without katayif pastry is called knafeh “naameh” which means soft knafeh, I get that the sandwich part is not everyone’s cup of tea even though it’s a traditional snack in Lebanon. Trust me try knafeh naameh by itself it’s heavenly and just as delicious

Absolutely unhinged behavior! This isn't a "stupid sandwich," this is a sacred piece of Palestinian/Syrian/Lebanese/etc. heritage that you're reducing to a cringe-worthy soundbite.
Knafeh Nabulseyeh is the culmination of centuries of culinary art, a symbol of community, and a direct affront to late-stage capitalism's obsession with bland, consumable content.
And OF COURSE it's different! That's the entire point! Künefe is Turkish, often made with shredded kadayıf. This is Nabulsi knafeh, from the city of Nablus, made with a fine semolina dough (na'meh) and Nabulsi cheese. They are distinct, beautiful, and rooted in their own specific geographies and histories.
But sure, reduce a culture's pride to a stupid sandwich for your vapid haul video. Decolonize your plate and your platform. Do better. Free Palestine🇵🇸
