Removing it is justified — that’s not the problem. Accountability is! Our government has never exactly nailed that. Now that people are finally demanding it, we, the American people, are stuck with a shutdown while representatives get paid and don’t show up to fix anything. Then they roll in with a “compromise” that rewards bad behavior. That’s not fixing the problem — that’s protecting their own liability. That’s not reform, that’s CYA. Where is the American people’s $3,000,000 coupon per person? If, as Rep. Scott says, every “account” tied to a member (business email, business phone, campaign phone, campaign email, personal phone, personal email) can get $500K each for a “private cause of action” back to Jan 1, 2022, that’s at least $3M per member bad action. So you pay yourselves for your own wrongdoings while holding government workers’ pay hostage — and you expect the American people to foot the bill. We are not your piggy bank. The fleecing of America couldn’t be more real. Sick of the rich getting richer off the pockets of the people.
