@tooltestlab: Two apps are challenging the very need for a pocketable mirrorless camera! Watch as this creator shares their mind-blowing five-month experience with Leica Lux and the cinematic Mood app on their iPhone. Think getting the iconic Leica color science *without* the massive price tag—the Leica Lux app alone delivers an arsenal of focal lengths straight to your phone. Is mobile photography finally advanced enough to completely take over everyday shooting? Get the real-world take on whether these mobile tools are rendering smaller dedicated cameras obsolete. The future of point-and-shoot might look a lot like your phone screen! #iPhonePhotography #LeicaLux #MobilePhotography #CameraGear #TechReview
Nope, it won't and it can't. Guys, if you're into photography, get yourself a camera. Doesn't matter if it's old or new.

Leica LUX is my go to. It can’t take a bad picture, unless it’s low light and there’s motion.

Not the exact same, but do you really want to pay $3k more to bring around a 700g camera (charging batt every now and then), for that 15% subjective edge? Mobile phone cameras have advanced to the stage where they can satisfy a good large portion of the population.

I have a Sony A7RII and haven't shot it in years. I travel and use my phone only. It's great.

welcome to 5 years ago.even without those apps, top end phones have been comparable or better than mirrorless for social media content.

Depends on end use of the images. iPhone images muddy at zoom in, which is computational photography making up for a small sensor.

I somewhat agree. Was using D-Lux. Now I use the Fjorden / Leica grip and associated app. Still not quite the same quality but very close.

Never. Nikon Z6 for photos, set to small jpeg. WiFi to phone. Voila done. Set it up all in camera, very little editing. Hit send

if you know how to take photos you'll always prefer a camera, if you don't a phone will do.
