This is one I had been waiting and watching to open. Daphne champions a strong female team in the kitchen, headed by Diana Desensi, whose impressive background includes Montalto, Saint George, Pt Leo and a winter residency at Julie in Abbotsford. The vibe is relaxed and moody, casual yet refined. They’ve already introduced some brilliant weekly deals that speak to their staying power: * $15 Martini Club on Mondays (your 10th martini is free with a cheeky card) * $30 Steak Frites Tuesdays * $25 Pasta Wednesdays * Plus, a late supper menu till midnight on Fridays and Saturdays with DJs spinning, what a vibe!
 Here’s a quick overview of what we tried: 🥩 $30 Porterhouse, fries, béarnaise: perfectly cooked, I would’ve loved a little more char. The salad was fantastic and the fries were absolutely perfect. 🫓 Mussels escabeche, whipped cod, flatbread: huge yum factor, wow. The flatbread was incredible and that whipped cod? Delicious.
