As a veteran it has nothing to do with being a vet. If the hospital calls as a mandated reporter which they are. Officer have to investigate, mandatory. They do not need a warrant to talk to the kids or the parents. If no one is in custody the don't need to read Miranda. But if you interfere with a report you will be arrested. You resist arrest or detention you will be tased. There is a lot left out of this story. But officers have to investigate because more than likely the hospital called them. It's law in many states. A report will be sent to prosecutors and family services for further investigation. A lot of info left out of this news report.

Looks like a big pay day to me, child will have to go to therapy to deal with ptsd of police almost killing her dad, ptsd for attack by police, unlawful arrest, emotional damage, assault. Hospital called police, they are responsible for the police officers actions.

Their training is to make you comply, not to follow the Constitution, law, or basic human rights. To treat all citizens they come in contact with as criminals. Never answer questions cooperate. it's our civic duty to make them following their oaths, through litigation. Until there is accountability for their bad behavior nothing will change.
