@blussomly: Here’s how to stop falling apart every time life gets hard ☁️ Today on stoicism but make it cute, we’re talking about resilience. About what it actually means to be resilient and how to shift from „why me?“ to „what now?“. There WILL be obstacles in your way. There WILL be challenging things you have to face. That’s how life works. But you don’t have to crumble under the weight of these if you have the right tools to handle whatever comes your way. You can find a longer version of this going into more detail in the sixth issue of my newsletter, the Soft Stoic Letter, out now. 💌 - 💻 you can download these slides for free through the 🔗 in my bio btw!! 🧚♀️ grab my stoic girl starter pack through the 🔗 in my bio. - Also lil disclaimer: pls take this with a grain of salt, I'm not trying to make fun of anyone, this is for funsies (and a bit of education). It is just me trying to approach a rather "dry" topic of a philosophy that's been branded in a very tough and masculine way in the past through a modern and humorous lens. Hope you likey and hope you learned something today! Stay grounded out there 🧸🤎 🏷️ stoicism for women , resilience , how to become resilient , emotional resilience , obstacles , challenges , tough life , wisdom , courage , confidence , balance , overwhelm , procrastination , psychology , modern stoicism , educational , overthinking , anxiety spirals , thought patterns , mindset shift , mindset , self care , that girl energy, #mentalwellbeing #personaldevelopment #stoicism #thatgirlenergy #mindsetshift

Does this work for people with chronic anxiety/panic disorder? Feeling affected by “hard things” > may not be external hard things, so the hardships come from within (excessive panic, severe anxiety, panic attacks etc)

Maintaining values through chaos, for me, is a proof of real courage, integrity and dedication. Everyone can have values when it’s easy. Who does when you have to sacrifice for them?

Stoicism is overrated. I, a very anxious person who is also prone to major depressive episodes, have recently discovered fatalism. When stoicism doesn’t work, try fatalism, embrace being a blob of meat that is just moving forward through time and predetermined events. Like my Grandma says, whatever happens, happens. Not for the better, not for the worse, it just does because it’s meant to.

I try to apply myself this way. However this year has been difficult and recently I’ve have had two triggers to my OCD. Plus family illnesses. And the last straw is my cat going missing. Logically I think about this is the time to be resilient but I actually just feel overwhelmed with grief and anxiety.
