This isn’t an electric car problem. This is a Ford MachE problem….. those machEs aren’t worth 40k+

All Cars are depreciating assets. Any car you buy especially new is a bad financial decision.

I’m sorry, but doing your research is absolutely positively the point it is the only point. A salesman is there to sell your car. They’re not going to give you information that’s going to prevent you from wanting to buy that car. It is 100% on you is the consumer to do your due diligence before making a huge purchase like that.

That hasn't been my experience. I'd pay more for this car. It's phenomenal!!

Not trying to be mean, only buy cars you can afford to lose. 140k plaid here from 2021 down to 50k. I made over 1M gross from 2021-2025.

Get a Tesla....better yet. Get a used Tesla with low miles for 50% below original cost. you won't be disappointed

Any car that you only had for 13 months is going to flipped to hell with negative equity unless you put a lot down. EVs do depreciate a lot, but so do most sedans now or American cars.

All cars depreciate. Most people could send their kids to college if they just bought a sensible hatchback. It's sad. Why do people need huge cars?

Tesla knows how to make electric cars, ITS ALL THEY DO. you made your mistake by buying a ford EV. your experience would be much different if you owned a tesla.

Not trying to be rude but you never buy a new car if you’re concerned about resale value. This statement is true regardless of it being an EV or not.

And for everybody talking about how all cars depreciate they don’t lose 2/3 of their value in 13 months. My Kia Telluride I bought a brand new 2022 SX nightfall edition. I paid 55K for it and it’s still worth 28K right now. So it’s lost about half of its value in four years. She said she paid $58,000 and it’s worth $20,000. 13 months later. That’s not normal depreciation that’s EV depreciation. That’s why they give you such huge rebates to get into one.

Buy used is best bet. I bought a 23 Tesla S for $59.8k in December 24. New was $88k. Huge savings. Latest HW4 computer and cameras. Less than a year owned I asked for trade in value and Tesla would give me $44k. $16k loss in less than a year on top of buying the car used at a 30% depreciation. Cars have never been a smart buy.
