The whole point of early Punk was to break thru to reach the top and show those in power he belonged. He did it. Punk shows up quite often and he’s doing all the house show tours too? What is part time about that? Expecting a 50 yr old man to still be late 20s/early 30s version of himself is quite odd. This is an Old Man Punk run, one who still has the fighting spirit but has really mellowed out.

I think that a “Corporate Punk” storyline may be neat, but what does he have to be mad about? He was complaining because corporate wasn’t pushing visionaries to world championship stories. He’s there. There’s nothing left to be a “punk” about.

I don't think punk is being himself right now like I think that he feels like this is his last chance so he is portraying this corporate character and that is so sad to me cause it feels like he is pissing in everything aspect that made him great in the first place he was the only real thing in the pg era now he is just a guy in the roster

id say its a number of factors. 1. this was punks LAST chance to work for a major pro wrestling promotion. the AEW bridge as of right now is burned to a crisp never to walk on again and I think where YEARS from even trying to mend it. even if punk has beef he has to toe the line because while him being in wwe is great they don't need him 2. the old guard is gone. there's no Vince trying to hold him down and thriple H isn't the same guy he was in 2014. this thriple H only cares about money and burying aew and cm punk is a golden goose. you don't kill the golden goose 3. money. punk makes them and himself LOTS of money and with cena being gone soon he's one of the last OGs they got who could still go for bare minimum 3-4 more years so they're gonna squeeze him dry. 4. post wrestling career. I wouldn't be shocked if CM punk spends the rest of his days in wwe. I personally think he'd be good on commentary. he's got the gift to gab and a team of him and Cory Graves on Monday night raw could Carry wwe for the next 15 years 5. you get AJ lee back via punk another major star that makes you money 6. in kayfabe there are no more heel authority figures for punk to rage against. Adam Pearce and nick aldis are neutral to babyface GMs who wouldn't try to screw punk over unless provoked

To me, it's not so much a corporate CM Punk as it is a mature Punk, who is content in who he is and what he does. Plus, given that the old Punk was largely going up against heel authority figures, he had something to revel against. Now he has Adam Pearce who is at worst neutral, and occasionally HHH who himself has mellowed as a person in a position of power.

That character was built around being a victim of part timers like the Rock and being denied opportunities he felt he deserved, like main eventing WrestleMania. since he has been back he has gotten those opportunities, no favoritism against him. why would be beefing with the management???
