I have never in my life questioned if I was a woman or a man, I know I am cisgender, through and through. So when someone tells me they feel like their body doesn’t match their heart, I understand that came from a true, genuine place, that I have no right to question.

Fun Fact, I figured out I was agender because I was doing a similar thought experiment. I, for the life of me, couldn't figure out why trans people felt the way they did. Turns out people feel strongly about their gender, and I never knew that because I don't feel anything about my gender. Once I figured this out, I understood trans people a lot better. Can't relate, it is still strange to me, but I get it now.

also, alot of times when trans people "stop" being trans, they're just going back into hiding and are pretending they're not because the bigotry around them gets exhausting to a point. not because they're "cured"💔
