My dog passed 15 minutes before the vet arrived. I’m so heartbroken. We were together all night and he was on my chest. I hope that he felt safe and comfortable with me.

100% agree! We waited to long and were rushing to the hospital to put our dog down but we were 5min to late and he passed in the truck. I will never forget the pain in his eyes 😭

My baby died at home naturally, she was a rescue scared of her own shadow. Putting her down at a vet would have absolutely traumatised her in her final moments. Just forcing medication was traumatic for her so we decided to let nature take the rest of its course. She actually waited until my daughter her 2nd favourite hooman and passed 27 minutes later 💞

Two of my cats passed naturally right before we were going to euthanize them and my other cat, we had to make the difficult decision to let her go. It was so hard, but she gave me a look of relief right before she passed. How I miss them!

My cat passed away on my bed sleeping next to me during the night. I was 17 and she had been with me since I was 6. At least she passed where she spent every night. She was my first fur baby. I still miss her.

I just had to put my Chihuahua down. He was 15 and a 1/2. I started having seizures and screaming and crying in pain. He was too good of a dog. She let's suffer like that

I’m there with my girl now and not sure what I should do she has a mass on her thigh put is still getting around slow but getting around but at night she doesn’t seems to be having a hard time getting comfortable and she whines for a little bit

We were able to euthanize our 14 yr old terrier. It was the hardest thing to do, but he was in pain and having trouble breathing. It broke my heart, but it broke my heart more, seeing him in pain.

it took my dog over an hour to pass, I held him in my arms the entire time. he was definitely stressed before he lost consciousness and was just breathing... he had an appointment the next day to be evaluated for euthanasia the next day. it was awful for both of us. euthanasia is the way to go

my only argument for this would be if its acceptable to humanely euthanize dogs why is the same not done to humans that are asking to be put down because of pain they are enduring. is it not humanely on humans?
