@ndlugopolski: Mixed Metal Green Garnet Earrings I didn’t talk about the earring process during this video, but I love how the green pairs with both the copper and brass in these 😍 as usual, you know I’m using all the fall tones for my shop update this week! I wanted to make a video about how I got into my craft, and addressing the fact that you will never be in a position where you will be ready enough to jump into doing something new. We wait until we have enough money, the circumstances are right, or we acquire whatever comfort we think will help us in that moment. The truth is, even if we have all of those, the mind is still powerful enough to stop us with doubt.. “what will people think of me?” … “ I can’t build my own website, create a whole business…” … “I don’t have money to invest in the necessary materials” — I was in this exact position. With very little money to my name, a dog to take care of, I questioned all my life choices up until that moment. But day by day, I continued practicing my craft. I worked 5 to 6 hours a day, constantly looked at my vision board with pieces that inspired me, and found trust in God (something I never would say at the time). That time of my life showed me there is something greater at play in life guiding me. I started posting on social media and kept at it for years on end. It wasn’t until last year this time that my account “blew up” … last year I had 2000 followers, now I’m at 76,000! In a way it happened overnight, but it was actually four years of hard work put into my craft Moral of the story is: don’t wait for the perfect moment, the moment is actually now. The mind seeks comfort, and starting something new is not comfortable. The mind will find any reason to discourage you, but you have to make the choice to act regardless of circumstances.
