I have a question. I know mamy people use orange beads to imitate eggs and use splitshots for weight. Would i be possible to just use orange splitshots? I don’t do tjis kinda fishing i’m just curious

idk if that's a fair assumption. fish get snagged all the time and someone could have been using the sponge because they didn't have access to anything else. some people definitely do strictly snag but lets not judge people based off their bait alone

I’ve fished in Washington state for salmon all my life I’ve seen people floating eggs, throw spinners and flossing. Guess what it’s all force feeding. Salmon swim with their mouth open. No matter how the fish is hooked it’s all legal. Stick what works and stop trying to be game officials

It's called stroke hauling in Ireland where are hook is pulled into the side of a fish. It's not fishing, it's poaching 😳

cultures a lil bit different up here in alaska but ppl are trying to floss their line through the mouth. doesnt always result in a clean hook set, any fisherman deserving of a license will release any snags
