@nicknamed.bree: 🌶️ 🐠 Fearful avoidants come in all flavors & sizes, but there are some things that most of us have in common. In this video, I break down a few KEY pieces of information about disorganized attachment. If you want to make it work with someone with a fearful avoidant attachment style, make sure they are seeking professional support outside of the relationship to address their early trauma.
can you give us an example of a firm, impenetrable boundary?

My rule is, treat me the way I treat you because if you don’t, I will treat you the way I feel you are treating me. Seems simple but so many fail. I

Almost impossible to make it work with a FA if they are unaware of their attachment style and you do not know it either. Doomed to fail

I believe its top tier to grow and heal with someone. If you can be consistent with a DA/FA and grow that relationship it will be incredibly rewarding. Unfortunately most never make it to this point

You can’t heal someone who doesn’t wish to be healed. The world doesn’t revolve around any of the attachment styles. Let’s all do the inner work first.

It’s kinda confusing bc they don’t want to be controlled, but the firm boundaries feel a bit like control

at least a puffer fish is there when you mostly need it. it doesn't go anywhere when you least expect it. it's not at all funny when you are considered needy, just for expressing basic needs in a relationship. I'm very curious: how do you see yourself?

i have it, and i actually mostly have healed most of my avoidant tendencies, and i’m working on and making good progress on the anxious components. although i will say i have a third new reaction i discovered which is freezing lmaooo (i mean ig technically that’s a form of avoidance but better than running for the hills)
