I know the f-15 pilot that got disoriented over the gulf and pulled 12Gs in order to not hit the water. No real issues with the plane afterwards. I flew that tail number many times, but I do think it flew a little cattywhampus, but that could have just been in the back of my mind.

This was one of the big issues with the f-14, when pulling an extreme aoa a lot of air is no longer directed towards the engine and it can very much just shut down. This was fixed with the f-15 which had variable intakes, which could move up and down to match the planes aoa and keep that air flowing

I remember that night very well.
I was in maintenance control when he came down from the flight deck.
Snort was pissed off, all he said was, and I quote "Get that damn plane fixed". Then he went in the readyroom.

And then he died because he forgot to remove the gust lock on his plane before takeoff.

sounds like a TF-30 caused issue. The F-14 never should've entered service with those dogs installed, but the aircraft was already hideously expensive in 1970s dollars and didn't get the significantly better F110s for more than a decade.
