I'm went in ready to accept pitocin after birth, did not want it during labor unless ABSOLUTELY necessary. Got everything offered to my son after birth and planned to exclusively breastfeeding. I thought I was prepared, but no one told me that your milk may take longer to come in as a first time mom! My milk took 5-6 days to come in which led to my son having jaundice because he wasn't passing the bili in his poop or pee because he WASNT POOPING. We spent 5 days going back and forth from the hospital after discharge to test his levels. Thankfully they were always just below the threshold for light therapy but it was so scary. We ended up having to give formula for a few days and a suppository 😭😭😭
