Sometimes we call it love, and sometimes we call it helping, but truthfully, it becomes saving. And saving becomes a habit that quietly steals the very thing they need to build within themselves. Strength. Wisdom. Endurance. Identity. I had to learn that the hard way. Because when you keep lifting someone every time they fall, they never learn how to find their own balance. They never learn the gift inside the struggle. That video reminded me of life itself. A moment where you think stepping in is the right move, but the real move is stepping back so they can step into who they are becoming. Growth begins where comfort ends. And real love has the courage to allow someone to face their own moment of becoming. Emotional maturity is knowing when to show up and knowing when to stand still. Not out of coldness, but out of clarity. Not out of indifference, but out of wisdom. Dr Eddyie Siingh spoke on this beautifully, and I want to honor that message. Helping is holy, but interfering can be harmful. There is a strength in silence that teaches more than rescuing ever will. If you love them, let them learn. If you believe in them, let them build. If you want them to grow, give them the room to rise. Because every champion you admire, every leader you respect, every legend you follow, learned how to stand because someone finally stepped aside.
