I think switching the fireplace to where the big bookcase is and bookcase on the current fireplace wall. you can then put one of the new mirrors over the fireplace. and mini stockings on the mantel or a garland with twinkle lights????

You definitely need to get a rectangular instead of the cube organizer that way you have more room to add without it looking crowded. I’m thinking of all the possibilities you could add if you used a bigger space

How about taking the light down from the ceiling and using one of your lamps in the corner, I wouldn’t put paneling up on the wall. It’s gonna dark in that room right up. Maybe add some nice Christmas photos.
