I named my son Yaseen. ❤️I almost lost him at 20 weeks, and as I was in emergency surgery to save him my anesthesia failed. I had an AirPod in my ear playing Quran because I didn’t want them blaring music in case I died on the table (yes it was that serious) and as soon as I felt the pain, Surah Yaseen started playing in my ear and I was able to push through the surgery AWAKE. My beautiful son is turning 6 months this Sunday alhumduallah. Allah is truly the most Merciful.

i have a question. i have a weird story abt my name. my dad wanted to name me zakariya. however when i was born i had a lotta medical issues. long story short after 10 days my parents spoke to an imam and the imam said smth along the lines of "Allah does not see this name fit for ur son, change it to begin with alif ا". so long story short my parents changed my name. that imam has passed away a long time ago so i cant ask him questions. i wanna ask how can i think of this islamically, what does it mean, are some names dangerous even if they have good meaning etc etc. whenever someone mentions names, especially in an islamic context, i always bring up this story in hopes of answers and also cuz i think its a cool story and smth u dont hear often
