ok, but why there? like we already have thousands of km of radiation contaminated deserts further south where the British tested nuclear weapons on indigenous communities in like the 50s or whenever. why wouldn't they put it there? I'm not for this at all but I'm just saying if you were going to dump radioactive material wouldn't you choose somewhere thats already contaminated? just like basic logic, instead of contaminating new areas, like, why is our government so corrupt and incompetent?
