I’d recommend a monstera (Swiss cheese plant) easy to look after and can be a shelf plant or floor plant depending on size. Also snake plants and yukkas are easy to look after

I read somewhere once that the positive effect of seeing a fake plant is the same as real ones, and I ran with that - especially since one of my cats is an absolute menace and will chew anything real and knock over anything with soil 😂

The trick is to put rocks at the bottom of the pot as it weighs the pot and makes it harder for it to fall and better drainage
