the layouts are not because of AI replacing them, its because the price of the chips that powrrs AI are getting expensive thanks to Trump's tariff so now company are laying off employees to save the budget for AI chips

The problem is the rythem of job creation. It took about twenty years, if not more for those jobs to disappear. Now with AI we're talking about less than 3 years. It's too fast for people to retrain.

The thing is, I doubt the average Joe could work those ai jobs. You’d need college or higher education which is getting more expensive. In the 1980s I’m sure the jobs were more accessible and the cost of living wasn’t like now 💔
