@itsnoellebabe: The most common questions I get are around my mother‘s lineage. I used to think that people were genuine and would spend hours having this conversation. what I found is the question is usually asked in a disingenuous manner that’s meant to dismiss, bully, or facilitate the continuation of the same experiences I’m sharing in the post. My grandparents are black, my mother is black, and my father is white. Biracial and mixed children have large variances in how they look. some people have albinism, some people are white presenting, some people are black presenting. But all these individuals are still biracial or mixed race, and it does not take away from their experience. . . #blacklivesmatter #BlackTikTok #mixed #blackmoms #biracial

As a biracial woman with a yt mother I think this is good to share with us. People think having a blk mother is better than having a yt mother. We all struggle 😞

Question? Are you originally from Philly?? Just because I have white passing biracial cousins n no one in our family or anyone in Philly (the Blk women) that I know had any of these sentiments with their biracial children so I’m curious about the origin of why she felt that way n where it came from

I’m biracial as well. My mother is white. Only difference, she didn’t let me have black friends wasn’t allowed to have black boyfriends listen to black music or even overall recognized my black side. She’s not like that now but growing up, it was tough. And I was extremely confused.

My dad was White and my mom was tri-racial Latina/Peruvian White, Indigenous, and Black. She constantly accused me of thinking I am better than her because I am lighter-skinned.🤦🏻♀️I might be lighter-skinned but I still look ambiguous. Most think I am White but some think I am just Latina or Persian or even East Indian.

This is so sad because clearly she is dealing with trauma but when we have kids we have got to deal with that and not put it on them.

It’s crazy to hear. I really feel bad for your mom. I was raised around a lot of non-Black people and it affected me, but I’ve always loved my blackness. I hope that you have found ways to appreciate yours.

yup, this is sad. as you are leaning into your blackness, im hoping that this will be more of lesson on yt supremacy, colonialism and colorism and how it has affected black people , especially black women.

I’ve seen this with a biracial woman and her children who are black. She remarried a white man and I hope she isn’t favoring his children and their shared child over them. So sad…
