This is a good list but I would also add cotton thread especially if you quilt anything for the kitchen where it’s facing high heat. Polyester thread will just melt

Good tips…Unpopular opinion but pins are wayyy better than clips. You can get right up to the pin when sewing and the fabric is more secure

Very good advice for some beginners as a fellow self taught. I will add. Cotton is good for beginners because it’s easy to sew on. But it doesn’t wear well. Most people are buying synthetic blends. So when they create it looks good at first but wears really bad. I would suggest learning during your sewing journey to learn fabrics. Learn how they wear. What they feel like when wet or wrinkled. So good though girl!
